3RD SUSPECT IN LOOMIS PLACE HOME INVASION ARRESTED
(5/22/2008) NEW HAVEN- Wednesday evening, New Haven Police arrested the third and final suspect in the home invasion that took place at 97 Loomis Place on April 29th. New Haven Detectives Rob Criscuolo, Al Vazquez, Steve Torquati and Sergeant Marc Calafiore with cooperation of individuals in the community and School Resource Officers achieved information on the third suspect who was identified as 18-year-old Tyquan Brown, 18 of 75 Kensington Street in New Haven.
Brown was arrested and charged with: Burglary 1, Robbery 1, Larceny 1, Kidnaping 1, Unlawful Restraint 1, Reckless Endangerment 1, Assault 2 and Conspiracy to Commit on all 7 charges.
On April 30, Tadd LeClaire, now 18 of 48 Kensington Street was the first suspect arrested in the home invasion, followed by the arrest of Samuel Evans, now also 18, of 59 Admiral Street on May 3. Since the violent home invasion on April 29, Detectives have worked diligently to identify all three suspects involved in the incident. It was with the assistance of the community and School Resource Officers that this investigation was able to come to a quick conclusion in arresting the three individuals responsible for this crime.
